- Type Number: Mitchner 2432, in Michael Mitchner’s “Oriental Coins and their Values: the World of Islam”
- Obverse: Rude head (?) with cross.
- Reverse: Unknown symbols.
- Notes: These small lead coins have a Byzantine inspired design, but they have not been attributed to a specific Crusader state. Therefore, it is not possible to identify the portrait or the symbols on the coin. From the Mitchner reference above: “This small hoard of lead coins was brought to London by a Turkish dealer in 1975 along with sundry Byzantine and Islamic copper coins from the Turkey-Syria region. Scattered additional coins of this lead series have been seen since then in London. The late Dr. G. C. Miles has also discussed the series.”
